SWEETPEA

TITLE SEQUENCE

A vivid journey into Rhiannon’s dark, twisted mind, Sweetpea’s title sequence merges the mundane with the macabre through brutalist painting aesthetics and painterly compositions. Neon lights flicker off rain-soaked streets, while shadows creep through suburban landscapes. Each frame pulses with tension as everyday objects become symbols of violence, reflecting the fragmented nature of Rhiannon’s world. The muted surroundings, punctuated by bursts of neon chaos, encapsulate the unsettling duality of her existence—a psychotic kaleidoscope where danger and dark humour collide in unexpected ways.

The bespoke typeface designed for the credits reflects a hand-drawn aesthetic, giving each name an imperfect, raw edge that complements the gritty tone of the sequence. For the title card, the “t” and “p” are extended into sharp, blade-like forms that grow as the title is displayed, adding an ominous, foreboding element that mirrors the underlying tension in Rhiannon’s world.
